Monetary Donations
The Anderson County Library enriches every facet of our community. It is the intellectual center supporting everyone with tools, knowledge and resources critical for education, entertainment, and research. The library provides a place to gather, collaborate, and share knowledge.
Gifts of many types can help the Library meet its mission in support of the our community. Gifts to the Library provide flexible support for expanded access to books, magazines, eBooks, digital audiobooks, digital magazines, databases, programs and more. It supports the technology and tools necessary to enrich the learning and research environment.

Materials Donations
We welcome donations of gently used books and media items. The library gratefully accepts donations of the following items in good condition:
- Books
- Audiobooks on CD
- Music CDs
- DVDs
- Magazines (Preferably only up to two years old.)
Donations of 4 or fewer boxes may be dropped off at the Main Library or any branch library’s front desk. We cannot accept 5 or more boxes of materials at a time.
If you wish to donate a new book or books for the Main Library or a branch library in memory or in honor of an individual, please contact the Community Services coordinator. Bookplates are placed in each donated volume. We’ll send you an acknowledgment letter for your gift, and we’ll notify your honoree or designated family member of your thoughtfulness.
