Part-Time Clerk – Iva Library: Anderson County Library is seeking a part-time Clerk at the Iva Library for 20 hours a week. The position pays $10.50 per hour and may include some evening and/or weekend availability. A High School diploma and excellent computer skills are required.

Librarian III, Head of Technical Services: The Anderson County Library is seeking applicants for the position of Head of Technical Services for the Anderson County Library System. Working under the supervision of the Assistant Library Director, this position manages the Technical Services Department and its staff, including acquisitions, cataloging, and processing. The Head of Technical Services:

· Oversees pre-processing for the Library System.

· Catalogs and classifies library materials, including special collection and gift items.

· Coordinates with the Head of Information Technology to maintain the current cataloguing system.

· Works in tandem with the Head of Adult Services for system collection development.

The successful candidate will possess both project management skills and a focused attention to detail.

Qualifications: Must possess a Master’s degree in library or information science from an ALA accredited university. A minimum of 2 years of successful library management experience is required. Supervisory and cataloguing experience preferred.

Information Technologist: Anderson County Library is seeking an experienced professional for the position of Information Technologist. This is a full-time position. Reporting to the Head of IT, this position administers the day to day IT and telecom operations of the Library System.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintains current and future network hardware including CISCO routers, fiber switches, media converters, wireless access points and routers, and additional switches and hubs.
  • Software support includes Microsoft Directory, DNS, DCHP, Backup Exec Antivirus and various databases.
  • Installs and maintains software including Microsoft Office, Tight VNK, Antivirus and various web plug-ins. VMware, Microsoft 365.
  • Provides ongoing Help Desk support for staff and patrons.   
  • Availability nights/weekends as needed for system maintenance.
  • Batch/Powershell scripting experience preferred.

Minimum Qualifications/Skills:

  • Undergraduate degree in computer science or related field from an accredited university; and
  • Two (2) years of previous experience working with computer networks or other computer support services preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Salary: $40,000.00 per year, plus benefits.

Circulation Manager – Main Library: The Anderson County Library is seeking a motivated and experienced people leader for the position of Circulation Manager. This is a full-time position. Working under the immediate direction and supervision of the Assistant Library Director, the Circulation Manager is responsible for delivering outstanding patron experiences at the Main branch in Anderson S.C.

Responsibilities include daily supervision of the circulation staff, timely processing of Library materials borrowed by patrons and resolution of escalated patron concerns.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess an undergraduate degree and both customer service and supervisory experience. Library/circulation experience is a definite plus and preferred. 

Salary: $35,000.00 per year, plus benefits.
