Part-Time Housekeeping – Pendleton Library: Anderson County Library is seeking a part-time Housekeeper/Custodian at the Pendleton Library for 15 hours a week.

This position pays $9.50 per hour. A high school diploma/GED and experience in housekeeping/custodial work is required.

Applications are available in Administration in the Main Library or at the Reference Desk on the second floor, or at any Library branch location.


Part-Time Clerk – Main Library: Anderson County Library is seeking a part-time Clerk at the Main Library in the Youth Department for 15 hours per week. This schedule includes working every other weekend (Saturday& Sunday) + one evening per week.

This position pays $9.50 per hour.  A High School diploma and excellent computer skills are required.

Librarian V – Assistant Director: The Anderson County Library is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Director of the Anderson County Library System.  Working under the supervision of the Library Director, the Assistant Director ensures proper and effective operation of the Library System by direct supervision of the Library’s public service department heads. The Assistant Director:

  • Plans, coordinates and administers the day to day activities and operations of the Library.
  • Assures that assigned areas of responsibility are performed within budget.
  • Oversees a program of long-range planning and assessment of Library services.

The successful candidate will foster excellent relationships both within the Library System and in the community and will provide focused leadership of the Library’s public service departments.

Qualifications

Must possess a Master’s degree in library or information science from an ALA accredited university. A minimum of five years of successful library management experience is required. Preferred experience includes a history of leadership experience in at least two library disciplines/departments.
