The Traveling Trunks program, in partnership with Anderson University, Anderson County SC250 Committee, and SC American Revolution Sestercentennial Commission (SC250), offers an immersive, hands-on experience that transports students straight into the heart of South Carolina during the Revolutionary War period.
Each trunk is packed with:
• Curated Books - age-appropriate and topical, these books will spark curiosity about South Carolina's history
• Primary Source Replicas - letters, maps, and more that bring the past into the present
• Artifacts - students can interact with period reproduction artifacts
• Ready-to-Use Lesson Plans & Activities - designed by educators to align with state standards
