Event Details

The Freedmen’s Bureau was established in 1865 as a means to provide aid to newly emancipated people transitioning from slavery to freedom. This program will explore the Freedmen’s Bureau collections on Ancestry Library and other online resources and how they can help trace ancestors’ lives after emancipation.
