Thirteenth Annual Poetry Contest

Get your poem published! 

Adults and teens in Anderson County are welcome to submit an original poem to the Thirteenth Annual Anderson County Library Poetry Contest. Submissions will be compiled into an anthology that will be available for purchase. 

Please visit the Poetry Contest page on our website to view complete rules and to submit your poem digitally. If submitting with a paper copy, the poem needs to be stapled to a completed contest flyer entry form and handed in at a service desk to any Anderson County Library branch location during submission dates.

Submissions will only be accepted from January 12 until midnight on February 21, 2026.

Thirteenth Annual Poetry Contest books will be available for pre-order from January 12-March 15, 2026 for $10.00. Cash, debit/credit card, and checks will be accepted.

Winners will be announced at the Poetry Contest Reception and Book Release on Monday, April 27, 2026.
