Directions:
From I-85 travel toward Piedmont on Highway 86. Library is located in Piedmont
Plaza Shopping Center about two miles on the right.
Local History:
Piedmont is one of the oldest
manufacturing towns in South Carolina. In 1843 it was known as Garrison Shoals,
and a small grist mill and log cabin were its only buildings. Today its a
bi-county town. Separated by the Saluda River, part of it is in Anderson County
and part in Greenville County.
