Friends of the Library

Don’t just use the library; be a part of it. The Friends of the Anderson County Library is a nonprofit organization that supports the Anderson County Library System to help promote the growth, development, and the greatest possible use of this institution. Membership is open to everyone.

 

There are many ways to contribute:

  • $100 Benefactor
  • $500 Corporate

Your membership dues, at whatever level, are vital to our organization and to our library in helping to provide financial support for programs and materials that benefit patrons of all ages. Friends of the Anderson County Library Book Store and Cafe

Located at the Main Library, all proceeds from the Book Store and Café support the Friends of the Anderson County Library.

Offering hot and cold beverages and a large variety of snacks, the Café is open*

The Book Store offers gently used books, magazines, and other materials, with rotating special sales every month. It is open*

Book Donations

We always welcome used books and media items. The library gratefully accepts donations of the following items in good condition:

  • Books
  • Audiobooks on CD
  • Music CDs
  • DVDs
  • Magazines

Donations may be dropped off at the Main Library or any branch library’s front desk.

If you wish to donate a new book or books for the Main Library or a branch library in memory or in honor of an individual, please contact the Community Services coordinator. Bookplates are placed in each donated volume. We’ll send you an acknowledgment letter for your gift, and we’ll notify your honoree or designated family member of your thoughtfulness.
