What kinds of Friends does the library need?
- Friends who promote the library and its
services to the community
- Friends who are willing to talk to elected
officials about the library's funding needs
- Friends who will work at book sales, help at
events and raise funds for special library services.
What do the friends of Anderson County
Library System do?
- Sponsor appearances by noted speakers
- Sponsor discussion groups on everything from
poetry to murder mysteries
- Provide for new library services, such as
Tutor.com
- Volunteer at the Gift Shop and Café
- Hold regular used book sales
- Purchase books and equipment, such as
computers
