Join us at any library location for a viewing party for the total solar eclipse! We’re joining in the fun with #AndersonRocks and #AndersonCountySCRocks and decorating eclipse-themed rocks. We will also have a live stream of the eclipse and other activities for the whole family. Additionally, Electric City Broadcasting’s God’s Country‘s Radio will be joining us at the Main Library.
Attendees will receive FREE solar eclipse viewing glasses on the day of the eclipse, August 21, starting at 12:45pm. Glasses are limited and will be given out on a first come, first-served basis. Limit one per person.
No sign-ups necessary.
Glasses are provided by Space Science Institute’s National Center for Interactive Learning (NCIL) in collaboration with the American Library Association, the Lunar and Planetary Institute, and the Afterschool Alliance.
The Anderson County Library is not responsible for any harm due to misuse of solar glasses during eclipse.
