Online Voter Registration

In 2013, South Carolina made online voter registration available for the first time. This will make it much easier for for people to take that first step toward engaging in the electoral process. Click on the link about for more information and to register to vote in South Carolina!

Tax Forms and Assistance

This page lists the times and locations for free tax assistance from VITA and AARP, and includes links to online federal and South Carolina tax forms. The library will have some federal tax forms available this year. We will NOT be receiving any South Carolina forms or booklets. Call 1-800-768-3676 to have the state booklet mailed to you. Library staff can print forms and information from the Internet for 10 cents per page.

Health Insurance Marketplace/Affordable Care Act

Open enrollment for 2014 is over. Open enrollment for 2015 begins Nov 15, 2014.  However, special qualifying circumstances, Medicaid and CHIP enrollments are always accepted. See healthcare.gov for more information.

Job Assistance

AARP Foundation workers are available to help with job hunting and unemployment claims at the Main Library from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. This page lists the types of help offered, and links to a flyer listing the WorkLink offices in Anderson, Pickens and Oconee counties.
