The Mobile Library of then Anderson County Library System is not just a bookmobile anymore!

The Mobile Library operates as a movable branch of the Anderson County
Library System. Books, videos, audio books, DVDs and CDs may be checked out from
this branch and returned here or to any library in the system. All library rules
and regulations apply to the Mobile Library as they do to any other branch. You
may obtain a library card at the Mobile Library and one must be presented to
check out materials. This library provides access for the handicapped.
The Mobile Library runs on a two-week schedule, Monday through Thursday except
on holidays when Anderson County Offices are closed. Fridays are reserved for
maintenance and preparation or library participation in community events. If you
would like the Mobile Library at your event, please call and schedule it at
least 2 months in advance. Regularly scheduled vehicle maintenance and staffing
considerations may limit availability. The staff of the Mobile Library also
prepares and delivers materials to persons in local assisted living, nursing
home and rehabilitation facilities.

Rules:
- Mobile Library patron must present library card to check out materials.
- Patron is responsible for all library material borrowed on his or her card, and for any fines that have accrued.
- There are no automatic renewals. Library material must be brought to the Mobile Library to be renewed.
- There is a charge of $1.00 to replace a lost library card. Worn out or expired cards are replaced at no charge.
- Library material borrowed from the main library or any branch library may be returned at the Mobile Library.
- Library material borrowed from the Mobile Library may be returned to the main library or any branch library.
- Patrons may request material by telephone.
