“Chocolat”- Film & Discussion |
| |
Anderson County Library, 300 N. McDuffie Street |
Admission: Free |
| |
The Anderson School of Theology for Laypersons will present a viewing and discussion of the film “Chocolat.” This light-hearted fable is set in a small town in rural France during the season of Lent. The town is awakened when a single mother moves to the town and opens a chocolate shop across the street from the church. When
Vienne tempts parishioners and townspeople with her miraculous chocolate creations, the devout mayor and obstinate Christians join forces against her. The story is multi-layered and speaks to the universal human condition. And yes, we will enjoy tasting a variety of chocolates while we view the film. |
