The National Endowment for the Humanities presents the 43rd Jefferson Lecture, an honor given for distinguished intellectual achievement in the humanities. This year, Walter Isaacson will be speaking on “The Intersection of the Humanities and the Sciences,” touching on the careers of Leonardo da Vinci, Albert Einstein, Benjamin Franklin, Steve Jobs, Ada Lovelace, Walker Percy, Edwin Land and others who fused humanistic though with scientific discovery. After the lecture, share your thoughts and reactions in a discussion.
An Elder Law attorney from South Carolina Legal Services, will be here to provide information and education on wills and advanced directives. The presentation will begin at 4:30pm and last 30 minutes, then will be available to answer any questions. For more information, call the Reference Desk at 260-4500 x126.
